Dhaka, May 3 -- India has imposed a blanket ban on all imports from Pakistan amid soaring tensions between the countries following the deadly terror attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam, the NDTV reports.
The decision has been taken in the interest of national security and public policy, the Indian broadcaster said, quoting the country's commerce ministry.
The restriction applies to all products in transit from Pakistan, according to the report.
"Direct or indirect import or transit of all goods originating in or exported from Pakistan, whether or not freely importable or otherwise permitted, shall be prohibited with immediate effect, until further orders.
