Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that although the death of former Bangladesh prime minister Khaleda Zia has created an "irreplaceable void", her vision and legacy will continue to endure.
Expressing confidence that her ideals will be carried forward under the leadership of BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Modi said her ideals "will continue to serve as a guiding light to ensure a new beginning and the enrichment of the deep and historic partnership between India and Bangladesh."
Modi made the remarks in a condolence message addressed to Tarique.
