Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- The Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations will resume from Aug 11 after they were suspended amid the unrest surrounding the quota reform protests.

All exams previously scheduled before Aug 11 have been suspended, according to Tapan Kumar Sarkar, president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board.

"A new schedule will be announced either today or tomorrow," he said on Thursday.

On the night of Jul 16, schools, colleges, polytechnic schools, and all universities were suspended indefinitely as violence sparked around the protests calling for reforms to the quota system for government jobs.
