Dhaka, May 12 -- An HSC student has died after falling from a building at Notre Dame College in Dhaka.

The victim, identified as 18-year-old Dhrubabrata Das, had gone to the college to collect his admit card for the upcoming HSC exams.

While Dhrubabrata entered the campus, his father Banibrata Das waited outside the gate. He later saw a group of students carrying his son, injured and bleeding.

"I was waiting outside for my son. A short while later, when the gate opened, I saw several students carrying him," said Banibrata.

Classmates first took Dhrubabrata to a nearby hospital and then brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 4:15pm on Monday, where doctors declared him dead.
