Dhaka, Dec. 1 -- Senior BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged the public not to be "misled" by varying media reports about the health of party chief Khaleda Zia, saying the former prime minister remains in "stable" condition.

Speaking to bdnews24.com on Monday, the BNP secretary general said Khaleda's treatment at Dhaka's Evercare Hospital was continuing under close medical supervision.

"Madam's condition is stable. Her treatment is ongoing under the close observation of doctors."
