Dhaka, March 29 -- Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has ruled out any security threat in Dhaka surrounding this year's Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday after an inspection visit to the Gabtoli Bus Terminal in the capital, Jahangir said the government was fully prepared to ensure a safe and peaceful holiday.
"There is no [security] threat. If any threat or conspiracy does arise, we will face it with the people by our side."
He said that the home ministry has taken comprehensive measures to ensure security in the capital during the Eid holidays.
