Dhaka, Oct. 20 -- Home Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has acknowledged seeing "doubts" over law and order preparedness ahead of the parliamentary elections.
After a meeting at the Secretariat on Monday, he answered questions about police training for the polls, what areas the training emphasises, and whether there are any doubts about the election.
"In previous elections, there was no training. This time, because there are doubts, we have arranged for training."
Without specifying the exact nature of the "doubts", Jahangir added: "Training is being provided in the areas necessary to conduct the election properly."
He said officers who served in the last three elections will be kept "as far away as possible" from key responsibilities ...
