Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- The Supreme Court's High Court (HC) Division judges Justice Naima Haider and Justice Mamnoon Rahman have stood down.
Their letters of resignation have been forwarded to the president, a notice issued on Monday by the Supreme Court (SC)said.
Justice Mamnoon sent his resignation letter to the president via the chief justice in an email dated Feb 2, while Justice Naima Haider tendered her resignation in person, according to the notice.
Justice Mamnoon earned his LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Dhaka, the notice said. He was enrolled as a lawyer in the District Court on Nov 26, 1989, in the High Court Division on May 29, 1990, and in the Appellate Division on Oct 25, 2001.
