Dhaka, Nov. 15 -- Content creator Ashraful Alam, widely known as Hero Alom, has secured bail after being arrested in a case filed by his former wife accusing him of attempted murder and assault.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rakibul Hasan passed the order on Saturday afternoon.

His lawyer Shanta Saksina confirmed the bail.

He was detained on Saturday afternoon from his office at Ulon, Hatirjheel, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner Ibn Mizan said.

"He was arrested and sent to court under an outstanding warrant in a physical assault case filed by his wife, Ria Moni," the DC added.

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman had issued the arrest warrant on Nov 12.
