Dhaka, Jan. 21 -- The High Court (HC) has stayed the recruitment circular appointing three deputy directors at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) for six months.

The bench of Justices Fatema Najib and Justice AFM Saiful Karim passed the order on Jan 13 after hearing a petition challenging the circular.

The recently published court order said the BSA issued the circular on Dec 22 for appointing three deputy directors, which was later published in the daily Amar Desh.

An individual named Ziauddin Ahmed challenged the publication of the circular before the HC.

The HC asked authorities to explain by Feb 3 why the circular should not be declared illegal.
