Dhaka, May 14 -- A three-member inquiry committee, comprising interim government advisors, has visited Shahjalal International Airport to investigate former President Abdul Hamid's departure.

The committee, headed by Education Advisor CR Abrar, includes Environment Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan, and Shipping Advisor Sakhawat Hossain.

A senior officer, who asked not to be named, from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) confirmed the visit to bdnews24.com on Tuesday night.

"The visit was to investigate the incident surrounding Abdul Hamid's departure from the country. The committee questioned several on-duty officials during the inspection," the CAAB officer said.
