Dhaka, Dec. 12 -- Sharif Osman bin Hadi, convenor of Inquilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, who remains in critical condition after being shot in the head earlier in the day in Dhaka, made enemies by publishing anti-Indian write-ups, according to his sister Masuma Begum.

Hadi wrote for Bangladesh, Masuma said, sharing her fear that India "won't let Hadi live".

Hadi has been shifted from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to Evercare Hospital.

Masuma left their ancestral home in Jhakalathi's Nalchity for Dhaka soon after receiving news of the attack on her brother.

"Patriots cannot live in this country. India won't let him live," said Masuma.
