Dhaka, Dec. 13 -- Inqilab Moncho Convenor Sharif Osman bin Hadi, who has been receiving treatment for more than 24 hours after being shot, remains in a "critical" condition, the medical board overseeing his care has said.

In a message on Saturday afternoon, Dr Md Zafor Iqbal, senior consultant and coordinator of the ICU and HDU at Evercare Hospital, confirmed that a 13-member medical board, comprising specialists from multiple departments, has been coordinating Hadi's treatment.

The board said Hadi's brain has sustained severe damage.
