Dhaka, Dec. 17 -- Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan has described the condition of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi, receiving treatment there, as "extremely critical."

According to a media statement from the Chief Advisor's Office on Wednesday night, Balakrishnan called Muhammad Yunus around 8:45pm to brief him on Hadi's ongoing medical care, emphasising the severity of his condition.

Following the update, Yunus called on the nation to remain calm and requested prayers and well-wishes for Hadi.

The Inqilab Moncho leader has been receiving treatment at Singapore General Hospital since Monday after being airlifted from Dhaka.
