Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- Two teenage fishermen have reportedly been injured by gunfire coming from across the Myanmar border while fishing in the Naf River in Teknaf.
The incident took place on Tuesday near Whykong Union, according to Sub-Inspector Khokon Kanti Rudra, chief of the local police outpost.
The fishermen alleged that the shots were fired from Myanmar and blamed the Arakan Army for the attack.
The injured were identified as 16-year-old Md Sohel and 17-year-old Md Obaidullah, both residents of Whykong. They are currently receiving treatment at an MSF-run hospital in Ukhiya, officials said.
