Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- Tarique Rahman has instructed party activists and supporters to maintain a vigil at polling stations until the counting of ballots is completed.
The BNP chairman issued the directives during an election rally in Cumilla's Chauddagram on Sunday.
Addressing the crowd, he said: "On election day, head to your respective polling stations after offering Tahajjud prayers. Gather there and perform the Fazr prayers in congregation. Once the prayers are finished, take your positions directly outside the polling centres."
He continued: "Since you are voting for the 'Sheaf of Paddy', you must ensure no one can hatch any conspiracies.
