Dhaka, Feb. 21 -- A group of people have paid floral tribute at the Central Shaheed Minar on behalf of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina during International Mother Language Day commemorations.

Around 11:30am on Saturday, five to six people stepped onto the altar and laid flowers bearing the message: "Humble homage on behalf of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina."

Witnesses said four young men and actress Mishti Subhash entered through the main gate carrying the tribute.

Hundreds present at the site watched the scene unfold. No attempt was made to obstruct or confront the group.

Although Mishti holds no official post in the party, she has participated in Awami League events across TSC, Dhanmondi 32 and other locations since the 2024 July...
