Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- East West University (EWU) has held its 25th convocation at the Aftabnagar Playground in Dhaka, awarding degrees to 1,857 students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Nine students who achieved a CGPA of 4.0 out of 4.0 were awarded gold medals at the ceremony on Monday.

Prof Dr Mobasser Monem, chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC), attended the convocation as the representative of the president, who is the chancellor of the university, and formally conferred degrees on the graduates.
