Dhaka, Jan. 21 -- The government has introduced a grade-based salary structure for Imams, Muezzins, and Khadims in the mosques while also specifying provisions related to recruitment, leave, housing, and post-retirement benefits under the new Mosque Management Policy 2025.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced that the policy was published on Monday in a supplementary issue of the Bangladesh Gazette.

According to the policy, a grade-based pay scale will apply to all mosque personnel except Khatibs. The salaries of Khatibs will be determined in line with the terms of their contracts.
