Dhaka, Dec. 10 -- The administrative process to upgrade the salaries of headteachers in government primary schools from 11th grade to 10th grade has moved forward.
On Wednesday, the recommendation of the Secretary Committee on Administrative Development was sent from the Cabinet Division to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The proposal was approved at the committee meeting on Dec 3.
GM Sharfaraz, deputy secretary of the Cabinet Division's Administrative Development and Coordination Wing, told bdnews24.com: "The recommendation has been forwarded to the ministry to upgrade 65,502 headteacher posts.
"The ministry will now seek Advisory Council approval, issue the government order, and complete the formalities," he added.
