Dhaka, Nov. 20 -- Law Advisor Asif Nazrul has said the government will enact the law for the referendum on the July National Charter within the next three to four days.
He disclosed the timeline on Thursday while briefing reporters after a meeting of the Advisory Council at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
"We are going to pass the referendum law very quickly. We will complete it this week," he said. "Today is Thursday, right? So expect it to be done within the next three or four working days."
The parliamentary elections are scheduled for the first half of February. Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has already announced that the referendum on implementing the Charter will be held on the same day as the election.
