Dhaka, Jan. 7 -- The interim government has launched a fresh drive to bring non-MPO private schools and colleges under the monthly pay order (MPO) scheme.

The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the education ministry will begin accepting online applications from Jan 14, with submissions open until Jan 25, less than a month before the parliamentary polls and referendum.

The division issued a public notice on Wednesday inviting applications from eligible institutions, said Syed AZ Morshed Ali, deputy secretary of the private secondary branch.
