Dhaka, March 1 -- The interim government had no role in the requisition of buses by the Pirojpur deputy commissioner for the launch of the National Citizen Party, or NCP, in Dhaka, according to Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

The NCP formally made its debut on Friday by holding a rally at the capital's Manik Mia Avenue.

A wave of criticism has surfaced on social media, alleging that the government arranged buses to transport NCP supporters from Pirojpur to Dhaka.
