Dhaka, Jan. 20 -- The interim government has approved a proposal to split the revenue administration under the finance ministry into two distinct wings: Revenue Policy and the Revenue Management.
This structural shift, sanctioned during the 119th meeting of the National Implementation Committee for Administrative Reorganisation (NICAR) on Tuesday, aims to "bring transparency and pace" to Bangladesh's tax collection system.
Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus presided over the session at his official residence, State Guest House Jamuna, marking the first NICAR meeting under the interim administration.
The meeting also cleared 11 administrative reorganisation proposals, including the establishment of four new police stations across the country....
