Dhaka, Feb. 7 -- The government has formed a committee to investigate the reasons behind the "high airfare" and a 13-member taskforce to monitor ticket pricing.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment on Thursday night, a senior secretary from the Ministry of Home Affairs has been appointed as the head of the seven-strong investigation committee.
The committee has been given 15 working days to submit its report.
The press release read: "An emergency meeting at the ministry reviewed the high airfare at different stages of international travel from Bangladesh and discussed setting a reasonable ticket price."
