Dhaka, Nov. 22 -- Bangladesh has been hit by another tremor just a day after a 5.7-magnitude earthquake left at least 10 people dead and more than 600 injured across the country.

The latest quake was recorded at 10:36am on Saturday and measured 3.3 in magnitude, according to Rubayet Kabir of the Meteorological Department's Seismic Observation Centre.

He said the epicentre was in Narsingdi's Palash, about 29km from Dhaka.

Officials described it as an aftershock of Friday's 5.7-magnitude quake.

Friday's tremor was one of the strongest to hit Bangladesh in decades.
