Bangladesh, July 30 -- A fresh case has been started over the deadly unrest surrounding a National Citizen Party (NCP) rally in Gopalganj.

The latest case, filed by Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Inspector Motiar Rahman on Tuesday, involves charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act, and lists a total of 5,500 suspects.

As many as 447 people with ties to the Awami League and its associate bodies have been implicated in the case, while the other suspects are unidentified, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station chief Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman said on Wednesday.
