Dhaka, Dec. 16 -- Four government departments, including the Land Records and Surveys Department, have been assigned new directors general (DGs).

The appointments were made through three separate notifications issued on Monday.

ATM Siddiqur Rahman, an additional secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, has been promoted to Grade-1 rank. Under the same order, he has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Land Records and Surveys Department has been assigned a new director general, with Mahmud Hasan, chairman of the Land Appeal Board, appointed to the post. He had earlier been under a transfer order as chairman of the National Housing Authority.
