Dhaka, April 1 -- A road crash involving three motorcycles has left four youths dead and injured two others in Madaripur's Shibchar Upazila.

The accident occurred at Kutubpur Shahebbazar near the Shibchar-Zajira border around 2pm on Tuesday, Shibchar police chief Ratan Sheikh said.

Mithu Talukder from Kutubpur Shahebbazar and Hridoy Dhali from Shariatpur's Zajira were among the dead. Police have yet to identify the other two deceased.

According to accounts by police, bystanders and locals, two of the motorcycles driving at reckless speeds collided head-on, killing two on the spot. Two others who were critically injured in the crash died on their way to the hospital.
