Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- William B Milam, the distinguished American diplomat who served as the United States ambassador to Bangladesh during a pivotal era in the early 1990s, has died.
He was 89.
Reports confirmed his death occurred on Tuesday, marking the end of a career defined by deep engagement with South Asian geopolitics and a persistent voice in Bangladeshi civil discourse.
He often made remarks on developments in Bangladesh in his post-diplomatic career.
