Dhaka, Jan. 21 -- Former NCP leader and independent candidate Tasnim Jara will contest the upcoming national election from Dhaka-9 under the football symbol.

She shared the information on Wednesday after receiving her election symbol from the Returning Officer's office in Segunbagicha.

Jara said, "Over the past few days, while speaking with local residents in Khilgaon, Sabujbagh, and Mugda Thanas of Dhaka-9, nearly every day someone or the other asked me which symbol they should vote for on the ballot paper if they wanted to support me. Today, with the allocation of the football symbol, that question has finally been answered clearly."
