Dhaka, Dec. 6 -- A former Jubo Dal leader, who was arrested in an operation in Jashore's Keshabpur by joint forces, has died.
The dead has been identified as Ujjal Bishwash.
"Ujjal was sent to the hospital after he had fallen sick in the prison on Friday night. He was declared dead at the hospital," said Abid Ahammed, jailer, Jashore Prison.
Ujjal had been expelled from his party following the ouster of the Awami League on Aug 5. Ujjal was the joint convenor of his party's local chapter in Keshabpur municipality.
He died a day after he had been arrested by the joint forces on Thursday night. Ujjal was arrested along with three others with illegal firearms, bullets, and drugs.
They were sent to the prison after arrest.
