Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- Former International Crimes Tribunal prosecutor Tureen Afroz has been shown arrested in a case filed at the Vatara Police Station involving fraud and assault.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan made the decision after hearing a petition by the Police Bureau of Investigation, the agency in charge of the fraud and assault case.
Defence lawyer Morshed Hossain Shaheen confirmed his client had been implicated in the case.
He said a bail petition filed in favour of his client was not entertained by the court.
