Dhaka, June 17 -- A court has ordered a former secretary of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chattogram, to jail for manipulating his son's HSC results.
Chattogram Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Mizanur Rahman rejected Narayan Chandra Nath's bail plea and issued the order on Tuesday.
Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court Public Prosecutor Mofizul Haque Bhuiyan told bdnews24.com, "Narayan was granted bail by the High Court.
"After that expired, he surrendered to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court today and applied for bail. The court rejected it and ordered him to be sent to jail."
