Dhaka, June 24 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast more rain on the way under the influence of the persistent monsoon winds.

Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa said there is likely to be more rain from Tuesday and it will slowly spread to a larger area.

"It will be at a certain level for about four to five days. By and large, there will be rain across the country.

In its regular weather bulletin, the BMD forecast temporary gusty winds and light to moderate rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in most of the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and many parts of the Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka, and Barishal divisions in the 24 hours from 9am on Tuesday.
