Dhaka, Oct. 18 -- Flights have resumed at Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport six hours after a fire forced operations to halt.
The first flight departed at 9:06pm on Saturday, said Group Captain SM Ragib Samad, the airport's executive director.
Officials at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram said that with the runway in Dhaka reopening at 9pm, diverted flights would return to the capital as soon as possible.
