Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- A 5.7-magnitude earthquake near Narsingdi has left at least four people dead, with reports emerging from several areas of cracked buildings and chunks of plaster falling away.

The tremor struck at 10:38am on Friday.

In Dhaka's Bangshal area, three pedestrians were killed when a building's railing collapsed during the shaking. In Narayanganj's Rupganj Upazila, a 10-month-old child died after a wall gave way.

By midday, the Fire Service released a list of the damage reports it had received from different locations:
