Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- A fire has destroyed more than 50 shelters at two Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf.
The blaze broke out around 10:30pm on Sunday in the area between the Leda and Alikhali camps, also known as Camps 24 and 25, in Hnila Union.
Firefighters brought the fire under control after nearly two hours, according to Syed Md Morshed Hossain, a deputy assistant director at the Cox's Bazar Fire Service.
No casualties were reported, but officials said the extent of the damage was still being assessed.
Additional Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Kawsar Sikder, the commander of the 16 Armed Police Battalion (APBN), said more than 50 homes had been destroyed in the incident.
