Dhaka, Dec. 7 -- The Fire Service has brought the fire at a thread factory in Narsingdi's Silmandi under control after one hour.

The fire had broken out at around 10pm on Saturday at NR Spinning Mills Ltd.

Shimul Mohammad Rafi, deputy director of the Narsingdi Fire Service, said four units worked to extinguish the flames.

The Fire Service official said the fire was brought under control after one hour of effort.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage from it were not immediately known, he said.
