Bangladesh, July 23 -- Despite the lack of any clear indication, Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed has expressed hope that the US will "slightly" reduce its proposed supplementary tariffs on Bangladeshi products at the last minute.On Wednesday, after a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Government Purchase at the Secretariat, Salehuddin commented on the tariffs.The Donald Trump administration has announced plans to impose an additional 35 percent tariff on goods from several countries, including Bangladesh.The measures are scheduled to take effect at the beginning of August.
