Dhaka, June 6 -- A man and his son have died after the bus they were travelling on veered out of control and slammed into a mosque in Mymensingh's Tarakanda.

Fifteen others were injured in the accident that occurred around 7am on Friday at Taldighi area on Mymensingh-Haluaghat Road, according to Tarakanda Police Station chief Mohammed Tipu Sultan.

The dead were identified as Md Parvez Mia, 40, and his son Hasan Mia, 8. They lived in Siddhirganj's Sanarpara in Narayanganj. Parvez was travelling to his in-laws' house in Haluaghat with his family to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha.

According to police, the Tisha Paribahan bus was travelling to Haluaghat from Narayanganj. Parvez, his wife and their son, along with a few of his in-laws, were onboard....
