Dhaka, March 27 -- A father and his daughter have died in a road accident at Natore's Lalpur on their trip to their hometown in Bogura for the Eid holidays.

The man's wife and the driver of the private car carrying them were injured in the accident that occurred at Godhora Bazar area on Bonpara-Pabna Highway around 10am on Thursday, said Md Ismail Hossain, chief of Bonpara Highway Police Station.

The dead were identified as Md Shahriar Alam, son of Md Abul Kashem from Koipara in Bogura's Shajahanpur Upazila, and Shahriar's two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Sumaiya Akter.

The injured are Ayesha Akter Rumi and the private car driver, who has yet to be identified. They were under care at the Bonpara Patwari Hospital.
