Dhaka, Feb. 6 -- The families of those martyred and injured in the July uprising have blocked Dhaka's Shahbagh intersection to demand the speedy trial of their killers and state recognition for those injured.
They took up positions at the thoroughfare around 11am on Thursday, blocking traffic.
The protesters dubbed ousted premier Sheikh Hasina and the leaders of her Awami League government "killers" and demanded their immediate arrest and trial.
At 2pm, Mohammad Khalid Mansur, chief of Shahbagh police, said: "They're still blocking the road. They want justice and rehabilitation."
