Dhaka, May 26 -- The Deans' Committee at Dhaka University has decided that the families of those injured and martyred in the July Uprising will get special consideration during admissions.

The Dhaka University public relations office announced the decision around noon on Monday.

The statement said, family members of gazetted martyrs and those injured in the July-August student uprising will be provided special benefits for admission to the 1st year undergraduate programme at Dhaka University, but only in the academic year 2024-2025.
