Dhaka, July 11 -- A fire at a foam factory in Chattogram's Karnaphuli EPZ has been brought under control after three hours.
The fire erupted at Zant Accessories factory in the port city's Karnaphuli EPZ around 3pm on Friday, according to police.
Seven firefighting units from Karnaphuli EPZ, EPZ, Port, and Agrabad fire stations responded, along with teams from the Air Force and Navy.
Abdur Razzak, Assistant Director of Chattogram Divisional Fire Service, told bdnews24.com that the blaze was brought under control by 4:10pm, but it took until 5:40pm to fully extinguish it.
"Our initial assessment suggests the fire was caused by an electrical fault. A full investigation is needed to determine the extent of the damage," he said.
