Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- Former member of parliament Sabina Akter Tuhin, who was elected for the seat reserved for women in the 2024 national election, have failed to speak to the media as police covered her mouth while escorting her to prison from the court.
The incident took place on Monday in front of Revati Mansion of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judges' Court.
Sabina and 29 others were produced in court in a sedition case.
The case was filed over allegations of taking part in a Zoom meeting of the "Joy Bangla Brigade" and engaging in "activities aimed at overthrowing the interim government and anti-state acts".
Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina is among the 286 people named in the case.
