Dhaka, May 6 -- The Advisory Council has given both policy-level and final approval to the draft of the National Parliament Constituency Delimitation (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025.

The decision came during a meeting presided over by Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus at his Tejgaon office on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Foreign Service Academy following the meeting, Law Advisor Asif Nazrul said: "The Advisory Council has approved the Constituency Delimitation (Amendment) Ordinance 2025.

"Once gazetted, the Election Commission (EC) will be able to carry out its constitutional duty of redrawing electoral boundaries."
