Dhaka, Feb. 7 -- Environment Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan has said elections alone cannot solve all of the problems besetting Bangladesh, structural reforms are also essential.
Speaking at the "Nordic Day" celebration at Hotel Radisson Blu Dhaka on Thursday, she said: "The government is committed to restoring democracy and ensuring the people's voting rights.
"However, elections are not the solution to all the problems, structural reforms are also necessary.
"These reforms will not be effective without the participation of political parties.
