Dhaka, Nov. 25 -- The schedule for the next parliamentary polls is going to be announced in the first half of December, Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah has said.

On Tuesday, he said election observer organisations must submit lists to the commission within 10 days after the schedule announcement.

The Election Commission (EC) said the polls would likely take place in the first half of February, aligned with the government's suggestion, leaving nearly 60 days between the schedule announcement and voting.

The precise date will be announced in the schedule.
