Dhaka, Nov. 27 -- The Election Commission has convened a meeting on Thursday to finalise a plan for the deployment of forces to ensure security during the parliamentary polls.
The meeting will begin at 10:30am at the EC headquarters, chaired by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin.
Four election commissioners, the home secretary, the EC secretary, and top officials from different forces and agencies are expected to attend the meeting.
The meeting will decide, among other things, how many days law enforcers will remain on the ground before and after the vote, and how many personnel will be deployed at polling centres.
Nasir inspected a "polls rehearsal" conducted by the Border Guard Bangladesh on Wednesday.
